When you talk to natives...

Conversation does not flow as you would like it to, does it?

It’s the damn fear.

Of what they might think if you make a mistake...

if your pronunciation sounds odd...

In Spanish you are a decaf version of yourself.

You cannot impersonate your other self -your true one- the one who speaks your language.  No one sees the intelligent adult that you are.

And you crave to be yourself, instead of an impersonator of the natives that you come across. You long to produce complex sentences smoothly,  to add color and subtle meaning...

To joke!

To seduce your speaker naturally.

That’s why you slog your guts out studying.

Just for a piece of paper certifying how much “you knew”.

And one fine day life shows you that you do not know as much Spanish as your qualifications made you think.

I’ll let others waste their time with endless verb charts out of context or grammar rules packed with exceptions.

But for my subscribers… I tell it like it is.

I share the truths that, if you don’t grasp them, will keep you stuck far longer than you should be.

And I don’t sell magic pills.

Enough.

I take this work seriously.

After teaching Spanish and English to over 1,000 students, I can speak to you about:

Why some succeed in saying what they want, while others say what they never meant, and stir up trouble.

The reason is actually simple (after teaching English and Spanish to hundreds of learners, you start cracking the code). And when you see it, you finally understand why—as you suspected- nobody has the foolproof method for learning Spanish (myself included).

So I'm not going to tell you that others don't know what they're doing and that I do know.

I prefer to focus on solving the problem and not on blaming others for how much or how little you have learned so far (you will already have your own theories about this).  What I can guarantee is that...

If you pay close attention to my emails you may come to see that…

Breaking out of your intermediate plateau is possible, even if you’ve been stuck there for ages (you’re about to hear things that hardly any language teacher dares to reveal).

Inside my emails, I uncover how the brain truly learns languages, so you can check whether you’re following what actually works, or just what you hope works. For example:

  • You’ll finally see why the famous line “you learn Spanish when you need it” is only half the story… and why the missing half may be the very thing keeping you stuck.

  • You’ll discover what happens to your Spanish -and to your confidence- when you hide in the classroom for too long… and whether there’s still a way back (before the damage sticks).

  • I’ll even confess my own slip-ups in learning English… and how those mistakes pushed me onto the path of teaching it.

And here’s something you should know:

My subscribers always get first notice when enrollment opens.

Before anyone else.

(And yes, places are limited.)

But a word of warning,

If you love doing gap-fill exercises and drilling grammar patterns, this isn’t for you. If you’ve built your Spanish through sheer effort and textbooks -and want to keep it that way- then don’t sign up.

You are not going to enjoy this.

But if that doesn’t sound like you… drop your email and see for yourself (unsubscribing is just as easy as subscribing).

“Okay, sounds promising… but what will we actually talk about?”

I hear you.

I also need to see the inner workings of something before I can confidently say: “This is for me.”

Speaking another language -as you know- isn’t just translating words.

If you speak, make it powerful.

It’s not just what you say, it’s how you say it and what you do with it.
