People don’t get to see the intelligent adult you really are.


What you really want is to be you—not some imitation of a native speaker.

To string together complex sentences effortlessly.

To crack jokes with confidence.

To captivate your listener in the most natural way.

You worked your tail off studying for a reason, didn’t you?

All for a certificate that was supposed to prove how much you knew.

If others want to waste their time with endless verb charts and grammar rules packed with exceptions, let them.

Your priority, when you're talking with English speakers, is to communicate, not to do it well. As you go along, you'll get it right.
